Hunt County soldier recovering from Ft. Hood shootings

By Brad Kellar

Temple – A victim in the Fort Hood shootings, and resident of Hunt County, remains hospitalized.

A new Web site has been established to assist Lone Oak resident Staff Sgt. Patrick Zeigler Jr. and his family, and an account has been set up at a local bank to receive contributions.

The 28-year-old Zeigler was shot four times, once in the head, during the Nov. 5 incident and remains at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. He was one of dozens wounded last Thursday allegedly by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who was formally charged Thursday with 13 counts of premeditated murder.
