I-30 standoff subject facing charge in Dallas

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – The man who caused a traffic jam along Interstate 30 during a standoff last month, during which a Royse City man was killed in an accident, is headed to Dallas County.

Jack Eugene Duvall is facing a revocation of his existing probation out of Dallas, on a felony charge of aggravated assault.

Meanwhile, no hearings have been scheduled in the local case, where Duvall is charged with obstruction of a highway passageway.

He was reported to have climbed onto the Hwy 34/Wesley St. Overpass on August 24. The misdemeanor charge could be upgraded to a felony.
