I-30 traffic stop leads to drug arrest

HOPKINS COUNTY - An Indiana resident is behind bars after a traffic stop in Hopkins County netted more than 50 pounds of marijuana.

29-year-old Brandon Rudolph Szany has been charged with a second degree felony for possession of the drugs, which were located in the trunk of his car.

A sheriff’s deputy stopped Szany’s vehicle after he noticed he had a headlight out near the 110 mile marker of Interstate 30.

Along with approximately 55 pounds of marijuana, authorities also seized more than $2,200 in cash.
