Icy Conditions Possible Tuesday Morning

Winter is here, and so is the winter weather. With winter weather comes unsafe travel conditions for vehicles.

Monday night, there is a chance for light wintry precipitation to fall across the region, but it is uncertain what type of precipitation that will be.

If it is sleet or snow pellets, hazardous traffic conditions will be minimal at best. However,  if it is freezing rain, ice accumulation on the ground in any amount, could lead to dangerous driving conditions Tuesday morning.

At this time, the main hazards are expected to be Southeast of a Temple to Waco to Canton line.

School and business closings are not expected, but in the event that they are KETR will have the story.

Stay with KETR for the latest on this developing weather system.

Stay Safe!
