Hunt County – A county-wide sweep was conducted Friday in Hunt County targeting illegal gambling parlors. In total, 13 establishments with around 380 machines were targeted in the sweep.
Three of those establishments were located in the Commerce City limits. Over 50 officers were deployed just after noon Friday to execute search warrants on those establishments in Commerce. Commerce PD, University Police, and the TABC teamed up the sweep that shut down 90 illegal machines in the three locations.
Victor's Beer & Wine, Live Oak Amusements, and American Amusements were the targeted locations. Three people were arrested and charged with Possession of a Gambling Device, Paraphernalia, and Equipment.
