Independence Day skies expected to be sunny

Daniel Starks
/
KETR

The skies should cooperate for outdoor festivities this Independence Day, and every day leading up to it.

The National Weather Service is forecasting sunny skies throughout the week with temperatures in the mid to high 90s into the weekend.

There is a small chance for rain on Monday, otherwise mostly cloudy.

Enjoy the week and celebrate freedom, but do so with caution. With the dry weather we have been having in North Texas, take extra care when dealing with fireworks, grilling, and any outdoor burning.

Stay with KETR for the latest weather updates and stay safe!
