Inmate hospitalized following brain aneurysm

Sulphur Springs – A Hopkins County inmate is in a Tyler hospital after what authorities believe may have been a brain aneurysm.

The inmate reportedly became ill early this morning, complaining of numbness in his hands and feet.

Upon arrival and determining the seriousness of the illness, EMS transported the individual to Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler and placed him on life support.

The inmate's name was not released.
