Bonham – Bonham Fire Chief Bill Palya has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation by the Texas Rangers.
Although allegations against Palya have been made, no criminal charges had been filed at last report.
Both Mayor Roy Floyd and City Manager Corby Alexander declined comment on what the allegations are. There was no word on how long the investigation may last.
Palya has served as Bonham's Fire Chief for close to five years.
