Investigators called back in Hunt County double murder case

By Kevin Jefferies

Greenville – Investigators in the case against Brandon Dale Woodruff have been ordered back to court. Woodruff is charged with capital murder in the stabbing and shooting deaths of his parents.

A hearing is scheduled for tomorrow for Texas Ranger Jeff Collins and Hunt County Sheriff's Investigator Terry Jones. Court documents did not reveal the reason the investigators were called back into court, but the likely cause relates to requests by Woodruff's attorney to examine discovery evidence.

Woodruff has pleaded not guilty in the deaths of his parents, who were discovered shot and/or stabbed in their home northeast of Royse City in October. He is being held in Hunt County Jail on $1 million bond.
