John Tracy on Notably Texan: "One Of The Last Venues For Good Listening"

Singer, songwriter, and author John Tracy from Aledo joins Matt Meinke in the KETR studios for an in-depth interview.

John left the business world several years ago to pursue his lifelong love of making music. He has recorded 3 albums, and the debut book "Of Love, Life and Family" by John Tracy Wilson was just released this year. John talks about everything from the message behind some of his songs, to the inspiration and experience of writing his first publication. You'll hear 2 original songs captured live at KETR, and several examples of his studio recordings. Originally aired April 25th, 2012 during Notably Texan.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
