A&M-Commerce head football coach Guy Morriss sits down with president Dan Jones to talk about expectations for the upcoming football season during Jones' monthly chat with KETR's listeners.
One of many topics discussed with Morriss include the necessity, hiring, and impact of a strength coach to benefit the Lions sports programs. "His name is Lance Farmer, and he's certified by almost every board you can be certified by. The kids are excited he's here."
Coach also discusses the newer rapid-fire nature of both learning in practice and execution in games. "Somebody's band is gonna play. Could be theirs. Hopefully it'll be ours."
Later in the program, Dr. Jones talks about Dan Rather's recent visit to KETR and the campus, recent recipients of the University's Distinguished Alumni designation (see videos below,) the completion of Rachel's Garden across from the field house, and May's commencement ceremony, during which the University will confer an honorary doctorate to former Lion athlete and olympian John Carlos.
