'The Jungle Book' Lives Up To Massive Hype

KETR, Matt Meinke

Alice Reese, the film critic for the Greenville and the Rockwall Herald-Banner, says Disney's new version of "The Jungle Book" is a spectacular example of modern movie making, and is equally entertaining for children and adults.  Alice says "Criminal" starring Kevin Costner is so bad it's good, although Costner himself is good in the title role.  And she says "The Huntsman: Winter's War," starring Charlize Theron, has received bad reviews, but she found it entertaining and says the audience who watched it with her was engrossed.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
