Kaufman man pleads not guilty to area robberies

By Scott Harvey

Hunt County – Indictments have been unsealed involving five counts of armed robbery. Donald Lee Durbin, of Kaufman, has pleaded not guilty to the indictments, all for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, in connection with a series of reported armed hold-ups from four years ago. According to the indictments, at least two of the robberies took place at the Fun and Games game Room in West Tawakoni less than 10 days apart. Durbin entered the not guilty pleas to all five indictments during a court hearing Tuesday. An attorney was also appointed to represent him, and an interim hearing was set for Dec. 22.
