DALLAS - Listen to KETR Friday at 8 p.m. for live coverage of the one-on-one debate between Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz as they battle for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate.
The debate comes ahead of a July 31 runoff election after neither candidate obtained a majority vote in the May 29 primary.
KERA will host the debate, to be moderated by Managing Editor Shelley Kofler. Questions will be posed by Crystal Ayala, political reporter for Univision Texas, Peggy Fikac, Austin bureau chief for the San Antonio Express-News and Houston Chronicle, and Ross Ramsey, executive editor of the Texas Tribune. Voters will also question the candidates and candidates will question each other.
