King tribute tomorrow

Commerce – There will be a tribute to the late Martin Luther King Jr. tomorrow evening on the A&M-Commerce campus. A Candlelight March around campus will begin at 5:30 from the East Circle of the Memorial Student Center. A tribute program will begin at 6:30 in the American Ballroom of the student center, after the Candlelight March.

There will be songs and poems of tribute to the late civil rights activists, with Dr. Artist Thornton, professor of African American Studies at Richland College, as the guest speaker.

The event is sponsored by the A&M-Commerce Office of Diversity and Cultural Affairs and the A&M-Commerce Chapter of the NAACP.
