Greenville – Attorneys for L-3 Communications receive permission to take oral depositions from Greenville Mayor Tom Oliver and City Manager Steven Alexander over the two sides' ongoing dispute.
Judge Richard A. Beacom also ordered a continuance on several other motions pending in the case, including the status of a temporary injunction on the proposed re-plat of Majors Field Municipal Airport, and whether the court has jurisdiction in the matter.
Attorneys representing the City noted how Greenville officials have complied with requests from L-3 for thousands of documents pertaining to the airport, even though the re-plat in question cannot be filed. L-3 attorneys contend they were seeking the information because it was still unknown what the City was planning to do in the future.
