Ladonia alderman race highlights Fannin contests

Eight candidates are running for three seats in Ladonia's race for alderman.

In Fannin County, this year's election - on May 11 - features an eight-way race in Ladonia.

Voters will choose three candidates in the election for Ladonia's alderman posts. Discha Threlkeld, Johnny Ray Crosby, Cliff Isaacs, Steve Miller, Betty Byers McDonals, Lindon Warren, Christopher Burch and Sid Davis are on the ballot.

In other Fannin County elections, voters in Leonard will choose three city council members from among Jim McIntire, Sue Hale, Steven Bolin and Larry Thompson. Savoy voters will also choose three councilmen from their options od B.J. Rodgers, Denise E. Pugh, Clete Stogsdill, David Warlick, Tom Melugin and Steve Perkins.

In Whitewright, city council Place 2 is up for grabs between Allen D. West and Kenneth Haskett. Jason Summers and Ruby Howell are running unopposed for city council in Whitewright.

School districts will also have elections in Fannin County. Those districts include Bonham, Dodd City, Ector, Honey Grove, Leonard, Sam Rayburn and Trenton.

There are no county-level offices on Fannin County ballots in this election.
