Ladonia crash victims remain in critical condition

By Scott Harvey

Ladonia – Two Ladonia residents remained in critical condition Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash near Longview that killed three over the Memorial Day weekend.

Officials say the conditions of 34-year-old Katrina Janelle Baker and one-year-old Gannon Northcutt have not changed from their initial prognosis following last Friday's wreck. Baker is currently in Good Sheppard Medical Center in Longview while Northcutt is receiving treatment at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA.

Killed in the accident were 18-year-old Kimberly Nicole Northcutt, and two girls ages 12 and 13, all from Ladonia. Policy states the names of juveniles who die in a wreck cannot be released.

Reports indicate the accident happened when an SUV, driven by Baker, hydroplaned on the wet pavement and skipped into the path of a truck on Highway 149. The driver of the truck, from Longview, was treated and released. Everyone involved in the wreck was wearing a seatbelt and that the baby was riding in a child safety seat, according to reports.
