Commerce – The Lady Lions basketball team of A&M-Commerce took the victory last night in their home opener, downing Lubbock Christian 68-63. The Lady Lions started off strong, going on a 13-0 run to start the game, and they never really looked back. Katedria Mosley put up 19 points, Althea Byfield notched 11 points and 11 rebounds, Kanani Marshall added 14 points to take the Lady Lions to victory.
The Lady Lions host UT-Dallas Saturday, and the men's team starts their regular season Thursday facing Oklahoma Science and Arts in Tarleton.
