Large number of cities going wet

By Scott Harvey

– A growing number of cities in the United States are debating whether it's time to allow Sunday alcohol sales.

In Texas, more than 350 of 460 counties and cities have voted to go from dry to wet since 2004.

Locally, that includes the cities of Greenville and Farmersville. However, a number of area cities failed to pass similar measures last year.

Tuesday, voters in Quinlan and Dallas are expected to take up the referendum.

KETR's election coverage begins Tuesday at 7 p.m.
