Commerce – This is the last week for candidates to file for the May 12th elections. In Commerce, only one person has filed for the two vacant places on the council. 12 year council member Penny Belcher has stated she will not run again for council at this time.
BELCHER:
Hector Arce will reportedly not be running as well. Janice Harrison has filed for Place 1.
Only the incumbents have filed so far for three seats on the Commerce ISD School Board.
Deadline to file is March 12th.
