Lay sentenced to 30 years for murder

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A Greenville man receives 30 years behind bars for the shooting death of another man last summer.

26-year-old Joshua William Lay was found guilty in September for the murder of Darrell Wayne Feggett.

He had pleaded not guilty, claiming self defense over the shooting, which reportedly followed a fight between the two over $100. Lay had never before been convicted of a serious crime.

The incident occurred in August, 2009 along Robin Road in Greenville.
