Commerce – The Commerce High baseball team lost game one of a three game series last night to Liberty-Eylau 13-0. The Leopards' ace pitcher Will Middlebrooks threw a no-hitter against the Tigers, striking out 16 batters in six innings. The 6'4'' senior is a transfer to Liberty-Eylau, having grown up in Wolfe City. He's already signed with Texas A&M.
The next game is Saturday at 2:30 at Northeast Community College in Mt. Pleasant. Game three, if necessary, will follow game two.
