Lion men to tip off at Texas Tech

Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball coach Sam Walker as announced the 28-game slate and an exhibition game against a Division I foe for the Lions upcoming 2014-15 season.

The Lions open the season with an exhibition at NCAA Division I Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday, November 8 with the official start to the season coming at the two-day Tarleton State Tipoff Classic against New Mexico Highlands on Friday, November 14 and Lubbock Christian on Saturday, November 15.

A&M-Commerce stays on the road for games at Ouchita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on Thursday, November 20 and at Dallas Baptist in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, November 22 before the 2014-15 home opener in the Lion Fieldhouse against Sul Ross State on Monday, November 24.

No rest for the weary as Lions will hop on a flight to Riverside, California for two games in the California Baptist Thanksgiving Classic against Dixie State on Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29 against host California Baptist.

Three of the next four Lion games will be in the Lion Fieldhouse with Southern Arkansas on Monday, December 1, a return game with Dallas Baptist on Saturday, December 6 and Henderson State on Friday, December 19.  The lone road game during the month of December is a return trip to Southern Arkansas on Monday, December 15.

Opening the 2015 calendar year, A&M-Commerce will play its first Lone Star Conference game of the year at Midwestern State on Saturday, January 3.

A&M-Commerce will enjoy two, three-game home stands, with the first set coming in mid-January.  The Lions welcome Cameron on Wednesday, January 14, McMurry on Saturday, January 17 and Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday, January 21.  The second three-game stint starts in the opening days of February with Midwestern State on Saturday, February 7.  Texas A&M-Kingsville, Thursday, February 12, and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Saturday, February 14, conclude the three-game stand.

Lion fans my remember the upset over then-No. 2 Tarleton State to wrap up the 2013-14 season and will get a chance to see the rematch on Saturday, January 31 in the Lion Fieldhouse.

A&M-Commerce will honor its seniors with the final home game on Wednesday, February 25 against Angelo State, while the season finale will come on the road at Tarleton State on Saturday, February 28.
