2015 Texas A&M University-Commerce Football Schedule

Texas A&M University-Commerce and football head coach Colby Carthel have announced the 2015 season schedule for the Lone Star Conference defending champion Lions, with eight NCAA Division II games and one game against an NCAA Division I-FCS school on the slate.

A&M-Commerce enters the 2015 campaign after claiming the program's 21st Lone Star Conference Championship following a 9-3 season and a 6-1 LSC record.

The Lions will host two nonconference opponents in Commerce to open the 2015 season starting with Adams State in the Thursday night opener on September 3.  Nine days later, Delta State rolls into Memorial on Saturday, September 12 for nonconference action.

Adams State went 4-7 overall and 3-6 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 2014, while Delta State will enter 2015 campaign after a 9-2 overall record and a 6-1 record in the Gulf South Conference.

The Lions will open their defense of the Lone Star Conference Championship on the road against Texas A&M-Kingsville (2-9, 0-7) on September 19 at Javelina Stadium.

The first home LSC game will be against Eastern New Mexico (7-4, 3-4) on Saturday, September 26, before traveling to Tarleton State (5-5, 4-3) to open the month of October on the 3rd.

The Lions will usher in Angelo State (9-3, 5-2) on Saturday, October 10, and hit the road for the long trip to Canyon, Texas to play cross-state rival West Texas A&M (2-9, 1-6) on October 17.

Midwestern State (6-4, 5-2) will be the third scheduled home LSC game before the Lions take a road trip down to Huntsville, Texas to play NCAA Division I FCS foe Sam Houston State on October 31.

The Lions will entertain the Mustangs on Saturday October, 24.

The LSC Playoffs will be held on Saturday, November 7 and Saturday, November 14. Much like the 2014 season, the LSC Playoffs offer the chance of at least one more home game and the possibility of two more home games to the end of the schedule.
