Lions soccer in conference play today

Commerce – The A&M-Commerce women's soccer team begins conference play today. The Lions are ranked 17th nationally, having lost just one game this season to bring them a 5-1 record. They'll face a 1-4-1 Midwestern State squad on the road today for a 7pm match.

The Lions are led by Erin DeWolfe who leads the Lone Star Conference with 5 goals and ranks second in assist with 2. Goal keepers Amber Ramoz and Stacey McDaniel top the charts in goals against average, having posted shutouts in all five of the Lion's wins.

Head Coach Neil Piper is nearing 100 victories. He has 97 so far, all with A&M-Commerce. He was ranked 13th among all Division II coaches in winning percentage at the start of the season, with a 75.3 winning mark.
