Live-blogging Tuesday's weather

KETR news staff are live-blogging today's weather events in Northeast Texas.

First of all, do not rely on this blog as your primary source of information about today's weather! For the most current severe weather information, listen at 88.9 FM or here at ketr.org.

If you want to check the National Weather Service website, most counties in the KETR service area - Collin, Delta, Fannin, Hunt, Hopkins, Kaufman, Lamar, Rains, Rockwall and Van Zandt counties - are served by the Dallas-Fort Worth NWS office. Franklin and Wood counties are served by the Shreveport NWS office.

What follows here is a blog offering information and commentary about today's weather events - hopefully, we won't have much to discuss. If you have photos, videos or other information to share, you can email us at news@ketr.org or call us at 903-886-5387 or 800-882-5387.

Stay safe! Make sure you have a radio with good batteries in case of a power outage - and that your household's flashlight is good to go as well. Find more preparedness tips here.
