Local and Federal law enforcement lock up over 30 people in drug sweep

By Kevin Jefferies/Brad Kellar

Greenville – More than 100 state and federal agents swept through the area in pre-dawn raids yesterday arresting individuals on drug related warrants. Greenville and Commerce Police, the Northeast Area Drug Interdiction Task Force, and DEA, ATF and FBI agents had 31 people locked up by yesterday afternoon. Over $50,000 worth of seized property, vehicles, firearms, cash and drugs were recovered. The actions yesterday were the culmination of a 10 month investigation with DEA agents working with local authorities gathering evidence to help secure the indictments.
