Bonham – A state appeals court heard arguments Wednesday in the case of Brandon Dale Woodruff, convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison for the 2005 deaths of his parents.
It is not clear when the Sixth District Court of Appeals will issue its final ruling, but the three-judge panel did have some questions about Woodruff's 2009 trial and its outcome.
Also Wednesday in Bonham, the 6th Court of Appeals heard arguments in the case of Cory Don Louis.
Louis received life in prison following his convicting for the 2007 murder of his girlfriend's two-year-old son.
The toddler's mother, Danielle Cuba, had previously pleaded guilty to her involvement in the case and was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
Fannin County District Attorney Richard Glaser doesn't believe the case will go back to trial, but says his office is prepared. The family of Cory Don Louis is hoping for at least another trial.
Justices will return to Texarkana and continue to review evidence from both cases before handing down their decisions.
