‘Local Heroes Night’ planned for pregame

Local firefighters, police officers and military personnel will be honored at the Cooper-Commerce high school football game in Commerce.

“Local Heroes Night” will feature the joining of the Cooper Mighty Maroon Marching Band with the Commerce High School Band to play America the Beautiful. It will be followed with a video presentation.

The event will also remember the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. All honorees are requested to meet at the south end of the track at 6:55 p.m.

“We thank you for your service and hope you will be able to attend as we pay tribute,” said Cooper Independent School District Superintendent Denicia Hohenberger.
