Local ISD employee accused of sexual assault

By Brad Kellar

Quinlan – Allegations have been made against a Hunt County school district employee in a sexual assault case.

Phillip Randall Gullett is a former maintenance employee of the Quinlan Independent School District. He apparently quit the job just before his arrest.

Gullet was arrested Monday and charged with five counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and one count of prohibited sexual conduct. He remained in custody Tuesday at the Hunt County Jail in lieu of a total of $175,000 bond.

Aggravated sexual assault is a first-degree felony, punishable by a maximum sentence of from five to 99 years to life in prison and an optional fine of up to $10,000.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks says the case is still under investigation.
