Local Law Enforcement Officer Recognized

A Hunt Co. law enforcement officer is due to receive some recognition for his efforts during a recent capital murder case.

The Hunt Co. Commissioners' Court is scheduled to meet at 10 AM Tuesday in the Auxiliary Courtroom on Johnson Street in Greenville.

Under "new business" the commissioners are said to consider the recognition of a letter of commendation from Hunt Co. District Attorney, Noble D. Walker Jr. regarding Constable Terry Jones.

Jones was one of the investigators in the case of Tracie Danielle Alphin who was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty last month of capital murder in connection with the 2008 shooting death and robbery of Jason Lee Harrington.
