Temple – A Hunt County man is among the wounded from last week's shootings at Fort Hood. 28-year-old Staff Sgt. Patrick Zeigler Jr., of Lone Oak, had served two tours in Iraq with the 1st Calvary Division and was preparing for a third when he was shot at the Process Center on the base.
Zeigler was listed in stable condition as of Monday at the Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
He was one of 29 people wounded last Thursday allegedly by Army Major Nadal Malik Hasan. Hasan is also accused of killing 13 people after opening fire on the military base.
An account has been set up at American National Bank in Greenville to assist the Zeigler family.
