Blossum – A 39-year-old Lamar County man has been sentenced to federal prison for child pornography violations.
Weldon Smith, of Blossum, was sentenced Tuesday to six and a half years in federal prison. Smith had previously pleaded guilty to the charges.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant of his residence on County Road 44800 last October, where they recovered 234 images and 30 videos depicting child porn from his computer.
