Local officials to meet with TransCanada

PARIS - Paris and Lamar County officials meet next Thursday with Keystone XL Pipeline officials to discuss the controversial crude oil pipeline that would run through the area and down to the Gulf Coast.

The pipeline has come under fire from environmental groups but local officials are excited about the tax revenue prospects another pipeline could bring to Lamar County.

City of Paris, Lamar County and the Paris Economic Development Corporation will be in attendance.
