Local schools under lockdown Tuesday

Local school districts placed their schools under lockdown on Tuesday due to escaped inmates from Hopkins County Jail.

Most schools have been modified to a soft lockdown per local law enforcement.

North Hopkins ISD - Dismissal will occur as scheduled. Bus students will not be allowed off of bus without a parent/guardian present at bus stop.

Paris Junior College-Sulphur Springs - Evening classes will take place as scheduled.

Sulphur Springs ISD - Dismissal will occur as scheduled. Bus students will not be allowed off of bus without a parent/guardian present at bus stop. Students who walk home will be held at campus for parent pick-up.

Commerce ISD - Dismissal will occur as scheduled. Extra staff/law enforcement will be on campuses.

Texas A&M University-Commerce is still open as normal. Campus authorities sent out an alert warning students of the situation and advising them to use caution.

Cumby ISD - Dismissal will occur as scheduled. All after school activities canceled, including athletic practices.

Greenville ISD - Dismissal as scheduled.

Royse City ISD - Dismissal as scheduled.

Forney ISD - Dismissal as scheduled.
