Local vehicles being burglarized

Daniel Starks

Commerce Police are urging citizens to make sure that their car doors are locked as attempted burglaries are being reported.

On Wednesday, April 23.,  Commerce Police were called to the area of Moore and Washington streets to multiple reports of someone going through someone's unlocked vehicle. When confronted by the owners of the vehicles, the suspect fled. According to a press release by the Commerce Police Department, nothing was taken from the vehicles.

If you see anyone suspicious walking around and looking into vehicle windows, call police immediately.
