Dr. Dan Jones, president of Texas A&M University-Commerce

As we wrap up the calendar year on the program, we look to highlight some of the more memorable discussions from The President's Perspective on KETR.The December 2012 program starts with audio from a chat between Dr. Dan Jones, president of Texas A&M University-Commerce, and another news radio station, on the topic of the University's presence in downtown Dallas.

We also take the opportunity to listen back to a conversation Dr. Jones hosted with Dr. Barbara Tucker, who is heading up the A&M-Commerce Nursing Program.

Finally, we step back to June of this year, when Dallas Mavericks owner and TV personality Mark Cuban blogged about the high cost and lingering debt associated with the education of today's graduates. Dr. Jones took the chance to further that discussion, presenting the value of higher education in sharper detail against the backdrop of the economic state of education worldwide.
