Lowe's opens

By Kevin Jefferies

Greenville – The Lowe's Home Improvement Center opened its doors up yesterday to the public, a week before the official Grand Opening. The store will also be open all this week, from 6am to 10pm.

Instead of a ribbon-cutting, the store will have a board-cutting to mark the grand opening, with Greenville Mayor Tom Oliver on hand. The Greenville High School band, dancers, and cheerleaders will also be present for the Thursday event, set for 8am.

Around 130 people will be employed by Lowe's. It is the anchor tenant of a new shopping center that is also set to feature a Starbucks and a Chick-fil-A.
