LSC Football Festival less than a month away

Dallas – The Lone Star Conference has reached an agreement with Courtyard by Marriott-Arlington/Ballpark and the Courtyard by Marriott-Dallas DFW Airport/West Bedford to provide fans with great rooms at a discounted rate for the 2011 Lone Star Football Festival.

The Football Festival features a tripleheader of games on September 17 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Rooms are available for Friday and Saturday nights at both properties, which are near the stadium.

The Courtyard Arlington, which is less than a mile from Cowboys Stadium, features king and double rooms for $139.00. King rooms are available for $85.00 at the Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport West/Bedford located less than seven miles from the action.

To get the discounted room rates, reservations must be made by Sept. 2. Fans may call 1-800-321-2211 and use the name of the Lone Star Football Festival Rooms to receive the special group rate or use the links below to book online.

The countdown to the Football Festival is winding down with just 30 days until the event kicks off with Midwestern State against A&M-Commerce at 12 p.m., followed by Abilene Christian-North Alabama at 4 p.m. and West Texas A&M versus Texas A&M-Kingsville at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or by contacting the ticket office at participating campuses. Through Ticketmaster, fans can purchase online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at numerous Ticketmaster retail outlets.

A single ticket is good for all three games with general admission seating. Adult tickets are $25 and students $10, with children 1-year and older requiring a ticket. To be admitted with a student ticket, bearer must be between 1 and 18 years old or present valid college ID. Parking will be $10.
