Hunt County – A Hunt County man was arrested yesterday on felony illegal dumping charges after appearing in court for what he thought was a public nuisance charge. Dustin Willcutts lives near Poetry, answered a public nuisance charge in the Justice of the Peace office in Quinlan and was fined $500 for creating a nuisance by dumping construction materials on his own property. However, Willcutts was then placed in custody and served with arrest and search warrants by Hunt County Environmental Enforcement officers for felony illegal dumping.
Willcutts has allegedly been dumping construction materials from job sites into a creek behind his house.
Willcutts could face up to $100,000 in fines and up to 5 years in prison.
