Lone Oak – A Hunt County man has been charged with burning down his own house. Jed Pruitt Hayes, of Lone Oak, was arraigned Wednesday on the charge on a charge of arson. His bond was set at $50,000. The initial calls of the fire came in at around 7:40 p.m. Monday. Personnel with the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department arrived to find the single story wood frame home completely involved. No injuries were reported, although it was unclear Wednesday whether anyone was inside at the time the fire started.
