Man denied appeal in 1998 Greenville murder
Greenville – Appeal is denied in a Hunt County capitol murder case.
The New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals made the ruling earlier this week in the case of Kevin Scott Varga, currently on death row for the robbery and murder of David Logie in Greenville in Sept., 1998.
Varga, along with Billy John Galloway, both formerly of South Dakota, were convicted of the crime and received the death penalty in 2000. Four people in all were found to have participated in the killing.
An execution date has not been set for neither Varga nor Galloway.
