Lamar County – Lamar County deputies were able to peacefully end a hostage situation Sunday with the arrest of 25-year-old David Mitchell Skeen.
Skeen had a protective order placed against him, but allegedly entered a house and assaulted two females with a 2X4 in the Community of Direct. He was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, unlawful restraint and violation of a protective order.
Witnesses reported Skeen appeared high on narcotics.
