Rockwall – One man was killed Monday afternoon when he lost control of his vehicle along Interstate 30 between Rockwall and Fate and struck an 18-wheeler. State Troopers say the man was traveling east when he crossed the interstate median then re-entered the eastbound lanes and struck an 18-wheeler. The impact caused the truck's fuel lines to ignite, eventually destroying the big rig's cab. The identity of the deceased man has not been released, and the driver of the 18-wheeler was in stable condition last night at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett.
