Hunt County – Multiple life sentences have been handed down in a Hunt County child sexual assault case.
31-year-old Harold Donnie Halbrook, of Quinlan, was found guilty this week following a one-day trial on eight separate offenses. He was sentenced to life in prison on each his four aggravated sexual assault charges, 20 years in prison on the two indecency by contact charges and 10 years in prison on each of the two indecency by exposure charges.
The sentences were scheduled to run concurrently, or all at the same time but officials are seeking to have the sentences run consecutively, or stacked. That hearing date is set for July 28.
Halbrook was arrested last year after investigators received complaints he had assaulted two girls, ages 6 and 8, during the summer of 2007.
