Denton County – A man suspected of driving drunk is now in jail for stealing a police car. Denton County Sheriff's Deputies were alerted to a truck that was driving erratically, and one deputy spotted a truck matching the description parked at a convenience store yesterday. The deputy stopped to question the man.
As he was talking to the man, someone else stopped and asked the deputy for direction. As the deputy was occupied, the first man jumped into the squad car and took off.
He didn't get far, though. He crashed into a fence shortly after commandeering the police cruiser.
The man now faces multiple charges.
