Lindale – Manslaughter charges have been filed against a man that left his infant in the car all day long. Charges were filed Wednesday against Lindale reserve police officer Kevin Petty. The 34 year old forgot to drop his five month old daughter off at daycare Tuesday morning when he parked his truck at Lindale City Hall and left in a police cruiser to attend a class in Canton.
Around 3:20 in the afternoon, he called Lindale police in a panic, but the girl was already dead.
Temperatures reached 102 degrees Tuesday.
