Massey Officially Takes Over Reno PD

The Reno Police Department in Lamar County formally has a new chief.

The City Council officially made Jeremy Massey the new chief Monday. Massey was serving as interim chief after the sudden resignation of Matt Birch in mid-February.

Before joining the Reno PD, Massey served as a detention officer in Lamar County and was a patrolman in the Paris PD. He later served in the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office before joining the Reno PD in 2012, as a lieutenant.
