McKinney museum to appeal sewer pipeline

By Associated Press

McKinney – A planned sewer pipeline project through a McKinney museum and wildlife sanctuary is closer to construction.

The North Texas Municipal Water District on Tuesday secured approval to proceed with the line through part of the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary.

Three appointed commissioners agreed with the district's $47,000 appraisal for the land, allowing the eminent domain purchase to proceed. The museum says the land is worth $170,000 and will appeal, in part based on results expected this month from an environmental impact study.
